Dr. Bahram Ahmadi
Board Certified Gastroenterologist
Dr. Ahmadi is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist. He completed advanced training at St. Michael’s Medical Center in New Jersey. He started his career in 2004 and opened his independent practice in 2009. Dr. Ahmadi lives in Lakewood Ranch with his wife, Neda, and their three sons. In early fall of 2017, he opened his first office in Lakewood Ranch and since then, he has opened a total of eight GI Centers throughout Florida.
Dr. Riva Das
Board-Certified General Surgeon
Dr. Riva Das is a board-certified General Surgeon, fellowship trained in minimally invasive Colorectal Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Originally from Rochester Hills, Michigan, she graduated from Duke University in 2008 with a degree in Chemistry and minors in German and Biology. After attending medical school at the Pennsylvania State College of Medicine, she went on to complete her General Surgery residency at Abington Jefferson Health outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She then completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Colon & Rectal Surgery at the Colon & Rectal Clinic of Orlando/Orlando Health in Orlando, Florida, focused on robotic and advanced laparoscopic techniques in treating complex Colorectal disease.
Dr. Das is a world traveler and global health advocate. She has served mission trips in several countries including Ecuador, India, Bolivia, and the Dominican Republic to make advanced techniques accessible to underserved areas. Locally, she strives to do the same by serving as Medical Director of We Care Manatee, a charity organization dedicated to providing uninsured residents of Manatee County with free medical care. Outside of medicine, she enjoys travel, yoga, and plays in a variety of social sports leagues. She is also a violinist and has played in several community orchestras over the years. She resides in Lakewood Ranch with her husband Danny and loves spending time with their two wonderful twin boys and their dog Loki.
April Thompson is an AANP Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner currently licensed in Florida. She is a graduate of Chamberlain University with a Master's Degree in Science of Nursing in Family Practice. Prior to her degree as a Nurse Practitioner, she worked as a registered nurse for over 15 years in the ICU in Hendersonville, Tennessee. She now resides in Punta Gorda, Florida with her husband and has a daughter who is a junior at the University of Kentucky. She enjoys outdoor activities and traveling.
Robert Fell, PA-C is Board Certified Physician Assistant.
With 24 years of experience, Bob is a Physician Assistant who earned his degree from St. Francis University following his undergraduate studies at Indiana University. Recently relocating to Florida with his wife of 29 years, Bob has three children: his eldest daughter teaches in Lakewood Ranch, his middle daughter is enrolled in the accelerated nursing program at Keiser University in Bradenton, and his son works in the media and technology department at NSU University School in Fort Lauderdale. In his free time, Bob enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
Jason Pieniazek, FNP-C
Jason Pieniazek is an AANP Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner that was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. He is a graduate of South University with a Master’s Degree in Science of Nursing in Family Practice. Prior to earning his degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner, he worked as a license practical nurse for over two years and a registered nurse for over nine years.
He now resides in Riverview, Florida with is wife, son, daughter, and two stepsons. When he is not practicing, he enjoys spending time with his family, racing, and being outdoors.
Danae O’Halloran FNP-C
Danae is originally from New Jersey. She played college soccer at Vanderbilt University where she earned a degree in Medicine, Health, and Society. Upon graduating with her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Keiser University, Danae worked as a Trauma Nurse at Sarasota Memorial Hospital for five years and completed her Master’s of Science in Nursing at The University of Cincinnati. She is also a group fitness instructor. In her free time she enjoys working out, running, shopping, playing music trivia, and spending time with her family, friends, husband, Max, and puppy, Ruby.
MaShell Gillett, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
MaShell Gillett is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of critical care experience as a registered nurse before earning her Master’s Degree in Nursing with a focus in Family Practice from Spring Arbor University. Over the past several years, she has developed a passion for preventive medicine, helping patients make choices that support long-term wellness. She has two children pursuing their academic journeys at Florida State University and takes great pride in their achievements. Outside of work she enjoys wellness-related activities such as strength training, yoga, meditation, paddleboarding and traveling.
